The La Sommelière ECELLAR185G2 wine cooler is the most complete answer in the ECELLAR range: a true ageing wine cellar for 185 bottles that recreates the conditions of an underground cellar, keeps a digital record of every bottle that goes in or out and can be controlled remotely from your phone.

Designed and made in France by La Sommelière, a wine cellar specialist since 1993, it belongs to the range presented as the world's first truly connected wine cellar, winner of the 2022 Grand Prix de l'Innovation. It is the second-generation version of the ECELLAR185 and adds remote control of temperature and lighting to the real-time inventory.

14 smart shelves with 168 connected locations

At the heart of the ECELLAR185G2 are its 14 connected shelves: sliding wooden shelves with natural wood fronts and rails, with a multi-format design for Bordeaux, Champenoise or Alsacienne bottles. Each shelf has 12 sensors that instantly detect when a bottle is placed or removed: 168 connected locations in total, plus a storage area for 17 more bottles.

Every movement is reported via WiFi to the app, so your cellar register updates itself, with no manual notes or spreadsheets. And when you look for a specific wine, an LED indicator on the shelf front lights up right in front of the bottle you want, which is especially valuable in a cellar of this size.

The ECELLAR185G2 is managed with Vinotag®, the free wine cellar management app developed by the Frio Group and available on the App Store and Google Play. Check your collection in real time and adjust temperature and lighting remotely, wherever you are.

Multi-temperature storage for your whole collection

The ECELLAR185G2 works within an adjustable range of 5 to 20 ºC with a single storage compartment and internal multi-temperature distribution by levels: top zone 14 to 20 ºC, middle zone 10 to 14 ºC and bottom zone 5 to 10 ºC. This lets you organise ageing reds, whites, rosés and sparkling wines, each at its own temperature level, with the help of ESommelier®.

• Are all 185 bottles in connected locations? Not all of them. The cellar offers 168 connected locations on the smart shelves plus a storage area for 17 more bottles. Capacity is calculated with 75 cl Bordeaux bottles; with wider formats it will be lower.
• What types of wine can I store? Reds, whites, rosés and sparkling wines within a 5 to 20 ºC range, with levels of 14–20 ºC at the top, 10–14 ºC in the middle and 5–10 ºC at the bottom. Its shelves take Bordeaux, Champenoise and Alsacienne bottles.
