The La Sommelière ECELLAR150 wine cooler was created for exactly that: it is a true ageing wine cellar that recreates the conditions of a natural underground cellar while keeping a digital record of every bottle that goes in or out.

Designed and made in France by La Sommelière, a wine cellar specialist since 1993, it belongs to the ECELLAR range, presented as the world's first truly connected wine cellar and awarded first prize for innovation in France. 11 smart shelves with 132 connected locations

At the heart of the ECELLAR150 are its 11 connected shelves, made of wood with metal rods and a smart front. Each shelf has 12 sensors that instantly detect when a bottle is placed or removed: 132 connected locations in total, designed to take Champagne-format bottles as well, plus a storage area for 17 more bottles.

Every movement is reported via WiFi to the app, so your cellar register updates itself, with no manual notes or spreadsheets. And when you look for a specific wine, the cellar shows you its exact position: an LED indicator on the shelf front lights up right in front of the bottle you want.

Your cellar on your phone with the Vinotag® app

The ECELLAR150 is managed with Vinotag®, the free wine cellar management app developed by the Frio Group and available on the App Store and Google Play. Thanks to the permanent link between the cellar and the app, you can check the contents of your collection in real time from your smartphone, wherever you are.

• Bottle recognition: in partnership with Vivino®, a single photo of the label identifies the wine and creates a detailed, customisable wine sheet before you place it in its location.
• ESommelier® assisted placement: the cellar recommends the best location for each bottle based on the type of wine, its ageing time and the natural spread of temperature inside.
• Search and locate: type a few clues into the search bar, tap «Show in my cellar» and the shelf light points to the bottle.
• Stock and peak-date alerts: get notified when a wine drops below the minimum you have set or when it reaches its peak drinking window.
• Shared cellar: the wine library and cellar-sharing features let you save favourites, create wish lists and share your collection.

Behind the technology is an ageing wine cellar built to protect wines for years. The ECELLAR150 controls the factors that make for good bottle ageing: temperature, humidity, light, vibration and air quality.

• Precise, constant temperature: operating range from 5 to 20 ºC, adjustable degree by degree from the digital control panel, with compressor-driven ventilated cooling.
• Single or multi-temperature mode: keep the whole cellar at a single ageing temperature or use multi-temperature mode, taking advantage of the natural temperature gradient between the top and the bottom to organise different wine styles.
• Controlled humidity: regular cooling cycles, combined with the thermodynamic operation of the evaporator, help preserve corks and labels.

Frequently asked questions about the La Sommelière ECELLAR150 wine cooler

• How does the cellar know which bottles I have? Each of its 11 shelves carries 12 sensors that detect when a bottle is placed or removed. When you register a wine in Vinotag®, with a simple photo of the label thanks to Vivino®, the app links it to its exact location and updates the inventory via WiFi.
• Are all 149 bottles in connected locations? Not all of them. The cellar offers 132 connected locations on the smart shelves plus a storage area for 17 more bottles. Capacity is calculated with 75 cl Bordeaux bottles; with wider formats it will be lower.
• Is it an ageing or a serving wine cooler? It is an ageing wine cellar: it recreates the conditions of an underground cellar (stable temperature, humidity, darkness, no vibration and clean air). It can run at a single ageing temperature or in multi-temperature mode, between 5 and 20 ºC.
• What is the difference between the ECELLAR150 and the ECELLAR150G2? Both share the same capacity, connected shelves and real-time inventory with Vinotag®. The G2 version adds remote control of temperature and lighting from the app; on the ECELLAR150 the temperature is set from the cellar's own control panel.
• Is it suitable for a living room? Yes. It is designed to be installed on display, with a modern design, LED lighting and a noise level of 38 dB. It is freestanding and has wheels and adjustable feet so it is easy to position and level.
